Antigua introduced the G42 professional alto saxophone in 2010 after years of researching alloys from post-war French saxophones and working meticulously with professional saxophonists to achieve the ergonomic and acoustical properties that players demand. The brass for the G42 is sourced from a company known for using only the highest quality refined ores available.
Subtle changes to the key placements allow for better hand positioning ideal for players with smaller hands. Blued steel springs ensure lighter and quieter action, and indented mother of pearl touches give the keys a luxurious look and feel. The unique annealing process results in a well-balanced instrument with an elegant tone. Exquisite hand engraving and uniquely designed keyguards enhance the visual appeal of the G42.
