Here is an extraordinary Yamaha YTS-82ZIIVBWOF-ASP Atelier Special model custom tenor saxophone. That's a mouthful!
Yamaha introduced these in 2020, I believe, and I think they are the finest saxophone that Yamaha has ever made. They started with the already amazing YTS-82ZII, and then took it to their atelier to tweak it out just right. The result is what you see here. The lacquer difference is obvious - the vintage bronze lacquer echoes back to the great vintage instruments of the 1950s. Other improvements are less obvious - the neck and thumb rest have had the weight reduced for better tone projection and presence. Ergonomics and balance have been improved by a series of subtle changes. This instrument also does not have the high F# key-a design change that many believe improves the overall tone quality of the instrument. This particular horn is in superb condition. It was a short term artist loaner and it shows no wear or use. Comes complete with original case and all original accessories, including mouthpiece, cap, ligature, strap, and cork grease.
