August Bonneville Handmade Flute SN 4107
Here is a VERY FINE August Bonneville handmade flute.
A contemporary and colleague of the famed Louis Lot, Claude Bonneville was one of the finest flutemakers of 19th century France and this is an amazing flute. The flute appears to be silver plated. I'm unsure of the alloy of the body, but has soldered tone holes. Headjoint is the original Bonneville head and this instrument sings with a sound that only these early French flutes have. This instrument has jsut had a complete rebuild by Brad Wherry and is an exceptional player. Grab this one!
