August Bonneville Handmade French Flute with Closed Holes SN 3451
Here is a VERY FINE August Bonneville handmade flute.
A contemporary and colleague of the famed Louis Lot, Claude Bonneville was one of the finest flutemakers of 19th century France. This is an amazing flute. It is solid silver, and has soldered tone holes. Headjoint is the original Bonneville head, and this instrument sings with a sound that only these early French flutes have. Unlike most of these instruments, this flute is a closed hole instrument, This instrument has just had a complete rebuild by Brad Wherry and is an exceptional player. Grab this one!
