Buescher Tilt-Bell Soprano Saxophone SN 204554 ORIGINAL SILVER PLATE
Here's a terrific Buescher Tilt-Bell Soprano Saxophone.
The little sister to the famous Buescher straight alto, the tilt-bell sopranos were only manufactured for one year before the great depression hit and made prestige instruments such as this difficult to own. Nonetheless, they have a unique, sweet sound that is found nowhere else and are highly sought after by players and collectors alike.
This particular instrument is in excellent condition. Original silver plate is about 90-95% present and looks excellent though there is some minor wear as shown. Pads have the original snap-on resonators and have just been shop adjusted. This instrument plays great! It's been a while since one of these has come up for sale and who knows how long it will be until the next one? Jump on it while you can!
Provenance: The Robert Howe collection. Dr. Robert Howe is a well known researcher and historian of woodwind instruments and spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments. We are privileged to offer instruments from this collection for sale.
