C. G. Conn Model 16V EEb Contrabass Sarrusophone in Silver Plate GORGEOUS
Shipping Cost : $65.00
This is an EXQUISITE Conn EEb contrabass sarrusophone.
In my opinion, the sarrusophone is the best choice for a reed player to play in the contrabass register. Fingering is almost identical to saxophone fingering, the bore is thin enough to allow you to play real phrases, and its a lot less expensive than a contrabass sax or a tubax. Conn made the best sarrusophones the world had ever seen. They had all the features that made Conn saxes great - rolled tone holes, heavy gauge metal, and the attention to detail that made Conn world-famous.
This particular sarrusophone is in excellent condition. This horn has just had a complete rebuild by Brad Wherry, and all pads and corks and the action are in excellent condition. This horn is ready to play. There are no serious dents in the instrument. Original satin silver plate (bright silver highlights) with gold wash in the bell is 98% present and looks gorgeous. Includes the original case.
