Here's a GREAT Elkhart Conn 6H.
The 6H is one of the classics of jazz trombones, played by such greats as Frank Rosolino and young J.J. Johnson. This is an instrument from the Elkhart factory, and these are generally considered to be the best of Conn's trombones - indeed, among the best trombones ever built.
This one is in very good condition. Original lacquer is about 90% present with wear at the contact points and some minor surface marks. It appears to be a retired school horn and is so marked on the bell as shown. There are a couple of dings here and there, but for the most part this horn is terrific. We note a few dents in the bell and that the horn has been spot lacquered in the past. This would be a wonderful step up horn for higher register horn players. Slide is straight and fast, and this horn plays GREAT!
