Claude Rive Handmade Flute SN 1568
Here is an AMAZING Claude Rive handmade flute.
A contemporary of the famed Louis Lot, Claude Rive was one of the finest flutemakers of 19th century France. This is a fine example of his early work. The flute appears to be silver plated - I'm unsure of the alloy of the body, but has soldered tone holes. Headjoint is a Werner Fischer (Bremen) handmade headjoint that projects extremely well and brings a lot to the table of this instrument. This flute has jsut had a complete rebuild by Brad Wherry and is an exceptional player. Get a fine French flute without having to mortgage your house!
