Who the AF570-CS Alto Flute Is For

The William S. Haynes AF570-CS Amadeus Alto Flute is a G alto flute built for flutists who need a reliable, modern-response tenor-voice instrument for ensemble and solo playing. Its design emphasizes a comfortable, ergonomic feel, accurate scale, and consistent tone color from the low register through the top octaves, making it a practical choice for orchestral color work, flute choir parts, and doubling situations where quick adaptation and stable intonation matter.

Players looking for the characteristic alto flute sound described as mellow and warm at softer dynamics, yet capable of a fuller, more vibrant low voice when pushed, will appreciate the Amadeus approach. The inclusion of both curved and straight W. Haynes headjoints helps accommodate different posture needs and playing contexts without changing instruments.
