The drawn tone holes and Modern Haynes scale contribute to a focused core with consistent intonation, while the open-hole (French) keywork and B foot provide the range and flexibility expected in professional repertoire.

The Haynes pinned mechanism with a pinless left-hand is designed for durability and precise key alignment, and the pointed key arms and gold springs provide a crisp, predictable key action under the fingers
