Yes. The 1807SRBO-D is a handmade professional C flute with Altus Silver (.946) tubing, soldered tone holes, and a sterling-silver mechanism, built for conservatory and working-performance demands.

What does “Altus Silver (.946)” mean on this model?

Altus Silver refers to Altus’s .946 silver alloy used for the seamed headjoint, body, and footjoint on this instrument. Altus silver is highly regarded in flute construction for its exceptional purity, resonance, and tonal complexity. Crafted with a higher silver content than standard sterling, Altus silver produces a rich, warm sound with enhanced projection and remarkable clarity across all registers. Its refined alloy composition allows for excellent response, nuanced dynamic control, and a centered, stable tone that appeals to advancing students and professional flutists alike. For players seeking depth, brilliance, and expressive flexibility, flutes made with Altus silver offer a sophisticated sound profile and superior craftsmanship that stand out in today’s market.

What are the practical benefits of the B footjoint, offset G, and D# roller?

The B footjoint extends the flute’s range down to low B. The offset G can reduce left-hand strain for many players. The D# roller helps the right hand move more smoothly between keys in rapid passages.
