Who the EBB562 Tuba Is For

The Eastman EBB562 is a professional-style BBb rotary-valve tuba intended for players who want a Germanic 4/4 instrument with an open, projecting sound and a manageable bore size. It is a strong fit for serious students, advancing players, and working musicians who prefer the articulation and tonal character of rotary valves for band, orchestra, and large ensemble playing.

What distinguishes the EBB562 in Eastman’s lineup is its .748 inch bore: it offers the rotary feel and breadth many players associate with larger German-style tubas, while avoiding the larger bore of the EBB623 for those who want a slightly more compact, efficient setup.

Common Questions About The Eastman EBB562

Is the Eastman EBB562 a BBb tuba suitable for ensemble and professional use?

Yes. The EBB562 is a BBb tuba in a 4/4 format, a common choice for concert band and large ensemble work, and it is built with a professional-style rotary valve set and specifications appropriate for serious performance settings.

How does the EBB562 compare to the Eastman EBB623?

The EBB562 is intended for players who want rotary valves but do not want the larger bore of the EBB623. With its .748 inch bore, the EBB562 aims for an open sound and good projection while remaining more moderate in size and airflow demand than a larger-bore alternative.

What is included with this specific EBB562?

This tuba includes the original wheeled case and all original accessories, including a Laskey 30G mouthpiece. It was purchased directly from the manufacturer and has been serviced, set up, and play-tested in our shop.
