Selmer Paris Mark VI Professional Tenor Saxophone SN 120462 GREAT PLAYER

This is a VERY NICE Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone.

The Mark VI tenor is a modern icon of saxophones. Made popular by jazz greats by the score the Mark VI is generally considered the finest saxophone ever made and pristine examples can command prices well in excess of $14000.

This saxophone is awesome. The lacquer is not original alas, but it looks pretty good nonetheless. There are no real dents to speak of except for the one shown on the bell; the horn is clean and straight. Neck is original and the serial numbers match. Pads and action are very good and this horn plays great. The early 120000s are one of my favorite vintages of Mark VIs - I find their tone to be complex and dark smoky and evocative. You need to hear it to believe it!
