Altus 1407SRBO-CD Handmade Sterling Silver Flute

The Altus 1407SRBO-CD is a handmade sterling silver concert flute built for professional-level performance and detailed musical control. It is designed for advanced flutists and working professionals who need dependable response, refined intonation, and a broad tonal palette. With a solid silver body and headjoint plus soldered tone holes, this model emphasizes clarity, projection, and a dense core to the sound. Its B footjoint and professional mechanisms support secure technique across the full range while preserving a traditional, focused flute color.

In performance, the 1407SRBO-CD is engineered to speak quickly with a stable center, supporting clean articulation and consistent response from low register through the top octave. The soldered tone-hole construction contributes to a resonant feel and helps the flute carry in orchestral and chamber settings without forcing. The B footjoint extends the range and supports a more substantial low end for solo repertoire and ensemble blending. Ergonomic features such as the offset G reduce left-hand strain during long rehearsals, while the split E mechanism improves confidence and focus on high E entries. The C# trill key and D# roller make common technical passages and transitions more fluid, particularly in orchestral excerpts and fast repertoire. Ideal for conservatory students, serious pre-professionals, orchestral and chamber musicians, and studio players seeking a handmade sterling silver flute with modern Japanese build precision.
