Altus 1807SRBEO-D Handmade Flute

The Altus 1807SRBEO-D Handmade Flute is crafted for professional flutists desiring a broad sound palette and superior performance. Tailored for concert musicians, it delivers a contemporary playability with a rich tonal range, all while echoing the esteemed craftsmanship of Altus Silver™. This flute stands out for its precision engineering and dedication to the traditional French flute-making practices.

With components such as the seamed Altus Silver™ headjoint and lip plate, combined with the body and footjoint, this instrument radiates unmatched resonance. The sintered key pipes contribute to structural robustness and enhanced playability. Featuring the Altus Scale, designed in collaboration with flutist William Bennett, this model is synonymous with flawless intonation and harmonic clarity. It supports professional features such as open holes and an offset G, rendering it perfect for concert settings and studio recordings.

The proprietary Altus Silver™ alloy is a perfectly engineered blend consisting of 94.6% silver and 18 precious metals, including small amounts of platinum and gold. Inspired by the preferred metallurgy of the great French flute making tradition, Altus silver was designed specifically for seamed tube creation. This results in a flute capable of producing a wide array of complex tonal colors.
