Hearkening back to Vincent Bach’s early 1920’s New York designs, Artisan mouthpieces combine the playability of Bach’s Classic inner cup dimensions with the softer rim designs and greater outside mass of his early mouthpieces. Artisan mouthpieces come standard with a 24 backbore and a 27 throat. These design elements significantly differentiate the response and sound clarity from the Classic Series.
6 1/2AL Cup, Medium Deep Cup Depth, 25.40 mm Cup Diameter.
The same cup, throat, and backbore as No. 6 ½ AL small shank tenor trombone but with a bass shank softer outer edge, quick response - requires a well developed embouchure. Produces a rich, compact sound of large volume, softer outer edge, quick response.
