Common Questions About The Fox Renard Model 335

Is the Fox Renard Model 335 suitable for professional use?

Yes. The Model 335 is a full conservatory, solid wood oboe intended for advanced and professional-level performance where reliable keywork, consistent response, and accurate intonation are required.

What does the 3rd octave key do on an oboe?

The 3rd octave key is an additional venting key used to improve response and pitch stability in certain high-register notes. It can make some upper-register passages feel more secure and can help with specific alternate fingerings depending on the reed and player setup.
