Who the YTR-8335II Bb Trumpet Is For

The Yamaha YTR-8335II is a professional Bb trumpet built for players who need a modern, high-projection sound with controlled resistance and accurate slotting. It is designed for working musicians, advanced students preparing for conservatory-level demands, and professional trumpet players covering orchestral, wind ensemble, commercial, and solo literature.

Within the Xeno lineup, the YTR-8335II reflects Yamaha’s ongoing collaboration with respected artists, combining advanced manufacturing with performance-driven refinements. A new bell design targets optimum resistance for a powerful tonal core and dependable centering, while changes including thinner valve casings and pistons and a modified branch tube (knuckle) angle support quicker response and an even blow. Player-adjustable feel is supported by the 1st-slide button for fine-tuning blowing resistance, and the revised main-slide water key gutter height and curled spring ends are intended to preserve response while maintaining the instrument’s resistance profile.
