What’s on My Bench? A King Double-Bell Euphonium

I know that if you watch our social media you’ve been dying to know what’s in this awesome Sylvester and Tweety case, so here it is!

This is actually the first double bell I’ve worked on, so this was fun. It has been pretty well cared for, which is not a big surprise as a previous owner had put some money into having it restored. It’s not the best restoration job I’ve ever seen, but also not the worst, and is in solid playing condition. After getting a few stuck bottom caps moving, all it needed was a thorough clean and polish! Why, oh why, do euphonium players forget those bottom caps are supposed to turn??? I guess the world will never know...🤦🏻♀️

Serial number puts this instrument at roughly 1908-1910, so this horn is over 100 years old and still going strong! The case may not be original, but it is age appropriate and fits the instrument quite well. At some point, the interior of the case should be redone, but if you like Looney Toons, the outside is in great shape and will last for years to come. Look for this super fun horn in our listings - it won’t last long.
