Today’s horn may not be much to look at, but it sure is an awesome player!
This is a 1967 Getzen Eterna Severinson Model, and if you’re a trumpet player, you probably know a bunch of people that really love these horns. They are light and responsive, with those fast Getzen valves that survive so well over the years; this is a great horn for Jazz and Commercial playing.
This horn has a lot of wear to the lacquer finish, but it’s in great shape otherwise and has lots of years of playing left in it. Love it as is, get it relacquered, or strip the lacquer and go raw brass - no matter what, it looks like it will still be a very nice player! It comes with its original case and mouthpiece, and will be up in our listings soon.

i recently obtained a getzen eterna severinsen serial number sk7579 b flat trumpet
how can i tell if it is a medium bore or large it feels like a medium?
I played exactly this model through high school, college and as a band director.
Let me know when this is for sale. Would love a larger than ML bore horn…especially a Severinsen model.
I’m curious, is there a database for lining up dates with SK#’s? I have one of these with SK13 _ _ _. Any help finding potential dates would be great. Thank you!
You already know how very much I love these Eterna Severinsen horns from the 60s and 70s and it is rare to see one that is not silver plated. Like you said, awesome players capable of fitting any style music and any venue. I’ll keep an eye on this one!
