PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY FOR UNADVERTISED SPECIALS
We are named after the Bob Dylan song "Quinn the Eskimo." There's actually no real reason other than that we happen to like the song. Almost by chance, when Matt, our owner was randomly picking an ebay handle waaay back in the early days, it just came up as an option for his user name, Decades later, here we are!
We buy things from a wide variety of places! Some come direct from the manufacturer. We also buy from school band programs, purchase directly from individuals, instrument auctions, and online listings.
Maybe! This largely depends on what is happening in the store at any given time. Contact Matt directly to discuss what you are looking to sell!
Brand new instruments are covered by the full manufacturer's warranty.
Used and vintage instruments are also covered with an in-house warranty. If something stops working on an instrument (that is not caused by the instrument being dropped or otherwise abused) you can send it to us and our in house technical experts will make it right, free of charge.
Quinn the Eskimo is an online store; we do not have a brick and mortar storefront in the traditional sense. Our warehouse is located in Redmond, WA. We are happy to have you vist us, but by appointment only (so we can make sure someone is there to assist you!) We do have a practice room, and would be delighted to have you audition instruments in person if you live locally!
We want you to be happy and satisfied with your purchase, and we offer an unconditional 14 day return policy. If you are unhappy with your item for any reason, just return it for a full refund or full credit towards an exchange. Reeds and other consumables are non-returnable once opened.
Please let us know via email that an item has not worked out for you. You can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Then, pack your item safely and mail it back to us by the carrier of your choice at:

We will issue your refund promptly upon receipt!
If you are shipping an instrument without a case, wrap it at least three times with bubble wrap and secure the wrap with shipping tape. There should not be any edges sticking out. The instrument should be completely covered. Select a strong and sturdy double corrugated box that is at least 2-inches larger than your instrument in height and length.
If you are shipping inside a case, check all latches to ensure they will not accidentally pop open
Loose articles (mouthpieces, necks, other accessories) could become lost down inside the bell. It is better to pack these items separately and securely in bubble wrap so that they cannot bang around and hit the instrument.
Once inside the box, if the instrument can move around at all, it may become damaged. However, don’t wrap so tightly that the instrument is compressed. A snug fit that impairs movement will be fine!
We ship smaller accessories via USPS first class mail.
We ship instruments and larger accessories via Fedex.
All items with a valuation of over $100 will require a signature. We don't want your new horn or snazzy mouthpiece left out on a doorstep!
