Who the 1236RL Professional F-Attachment Trombone Is For
The Jupiter XO 1236RL is a professional large-bore Bb/F symphonic tenor trombone designed for orchestral, wind ensemble, and serious studio or commercial players who need a broad tenor sound with dependable F-attachment facility. Its rose brass bell and large-bore setup support a darker tonal character and strong core, while the closed-wrap rotary F-attachment is intended to keep the trigger register feeling open and stable.
What distinguishes the 1236RL within its category is the combination of a hand-crafted rose brass bell and three interchangeable leadpipes, allowing players to fine-tune response and articulation to match different repertoire, mouthpieces, or section roles without changing instruments.
Common Questions About The Jupiter XO 1236RL
Is the Jupiter XO 1236RL suitable for professional symphonic playing?
Yes. The 1236RL is a professional-spec Bb/F large-bore tenor trombone with a .547 inch slide, rose brass bell, and rotary F-attachment—features commonly required for orchestral and wind ensemble performance.
What do the three interchangeable leadpipes change?
They allow you to adjust feel and response at the front of the instrument, including how quickly notes speak and how resistant the blow feels. Many players use them to match different mouthpieces, repertoire, or preferred articulation.
What does “open box” mean for this trombone?
It means the instrument was a store display model rather than a regularly played used instrument. It shows no signs of use and has been professionally serviced, set up, and play-tested before sale.
