Triébert Oboe - Système 6
This exquisite Robert oboe, featuring the innovative Triébert Système 6 keywork, originates from the notable workshops of Robert, a distinguished name in early woodwind manufacture. This model was crafted in France, a country renowned for its advancement and refinement of oboe design during the 19th century. The Triébert Système 6 was part of the evolutionary journey in the enhancement of the oboe, introducing advanced key systems which provided greater fluidity and accuracy in performance, and the ability to reach the low B.
Design and Features
This historic oboe is crafted from high-quality grenadilla wood, known for its density and tonal characteristics, although not necessarily reflective of modern playing standards. The key system, a testament to the Triébert innovations, is constructed from nickel silver, showcasing intricate engravings and an advanced keywork arrangement for its time. Its low B mechanism is noteworthy, illustrating the cobblestone path of key innovations that sought to expand the tonal range of the oboe.
