Backun Clarinets at The Mighty Quinn Brass and Winds
Tradition has a New Name. Backun is a highly respected Canadian manufacturer known for making professional-grade clarinets and clarinet accessories (such as barrels and bells). Founded by Morrie Backun in the early 2000s, the company has become a favorite among orchestral musicians, soloists, and serious students for its craftsmanship and tonal flexibility.
.In January 2017, the Eastman Music Company made a significant investment in Backun, which allowed both companies to grow significantly in the clarinet market. The brand's global impact is now being felt throughout the band and orchestra community. Quality and value are the hallmarks of Backun Professional Clarinets. From uncompromising intonation and feel to ergonomically designed keywork, nothing is left to chance.
Backun instruments have a thoughtful and characteristic design, as do their barrels and bells. Due to the uniformity of their design, Backun clarinets are instantly recognizable.
