Who the RC Bb Clarinet Is For
The Buffet Crampon RC Bb clarinet is a professional-level French bore clarinet built for advancing students, conservatory players, doublers, and working clarinetists who need dependable intonation and an even response across registers. It is particularly well-suited to players who want a warm tonal core with clear articulation and a focused upper register that carries in ensemble and solo settings.
Within Buffet Crampon’s professional lineup, the RC is often chosen for its balanced resistance and centered feel, helping throat tones speak cleanly while keeping the sound cohesive from chalumeau through altissimo. The included alternate Eb key provides an additional fingering option that some players prefer for technical or exposed passages.
