Rafael Navarro ARTISTA 7 Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece BRAND NEW
This item is brand new and has never been used.
In 1998, after being in the industry for over 12 years, I decided to wonder into designing my own line of mouthpieces. A couple of initial concepts where drawn and casted, but it wasn’t until 2004 when I came with the idea of standardizing some features of mouthpiece design, that would help me create different variations of them. As all of this was experimental at that point, back in May of 2004, I used one variation of my design to proof the concept of 5 axis machining a saxophone mouthpiece. The result was excellent, however other things came along and changed my initial plans for launching my product. In other words, it diverted my original plan, and therefore, this particular model and none of its variations has ever made it into the market.
After many years of successful business, I present you 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂. Focused, extremely powerful and although a brighter concept, remains very flexible as any of my other models. The body is a slight departure from the original thin body concept but allows for a standard choice of ligatures and of course great comfort and feel when playing. When speaking of originality, the chamber is the most unique part of it. It is simply thicker sounding that any of the previous high baffle concept mouthpieces made. This of course, is the result of a unique interior chamber geometry that should be considered medium in size versus other previous high baffled mouthpieces. And there is also the round throat into the mouthpiece bore which allows for a more focused sound. This first 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂 metal is ideal for R&B, Rock and Fusion. If you are a player seeking for power and quality of sound, this may just be the choice for you.
