Who the STBALESSI Tenor Trombone Is For
The STBALESSI Tenor Trombone is a professional Joseph Alessi signature Bb/F large-bore tenor trombone built for orchestral, commercial, and solo players who need a broad, mature sound that stays stable under high dynamic and technical demands. The lightweight, unsoldered two-piece yellow-brass bell is engineered to project clearly through dense textures while retaining width and cohesion across the full range.
This model is distinguished by its material choices and how they work together: an Alessi rotary F valve paired with a gold-brass F-attachment slide and a flanged gold-brass tuning slide supports depth and density while preserving the clean articulation and centered response many players associate with rotary-valve clarity. The TWJA handslide uses a combination of alloys to prioritize consistency and clarity, while the three interchangeable yellow brass leadpipes allow the player to tailor response and feel to different halls, repertoire, and stylistic demands.
