Yamaha Model YTS-82ZIIA 'Custom Z' Tenor Saxophone in Amber Lacquer
Yamaha YTS-82ZIIA Custom Z Tenor Saxophone Overview
The Yamaha YTS-82ZIIA Custom Z Tenor Saxophone is a professional Bb tenor built to balance vintage-inspired tone concept with modern Yamaha precision and consistency. This Custom Z model pairs a one-piece bell with refined hand engraving to support a resonant low register and a wide range of tonal colors, while domed metal resonators contribute to quick articulation and a broad dynamic range. A V1 neck with a wide bore taper provides a free-blowing feel for detailed expressive control, and Yamaha’s improved low B–C# mechanism helps deliver a secure seal and clear low-register response. Comfort and resonance are supported by lighter thumb rest and hook designs, and the adjustable Front F key lets players fine-tune resistance for altissimo work. The instrument ships in a slim, lightweight case with shoulder strap.
