Eastman Model ETS852 '52nd Street' Professional Tenor Saxophone BRAND NEW
Eastman ETS852 Tenor Saxophone Overview
The newest professional tenor from Eastman! The 52nd Street saxophone is a professional instrument and comes unlacquered for a truly vintage appearance. It is an exceptionally responsive horn in all registers and produces a big, fat sound with precise intonation. A larger bell and specifically-placed rolled-style tone holes contribute to the sound qualities of this instrument that many compare to some of the great vintage horns of the past. This model includes both the "M" neck (M = Bob Mintzer - this neck provides the most open, biggest sound) and the "S" neck (S = 52nd Street - this neck offers a more open, broad tone.) The variation in necks provides players with enhanced flexibility within the same instrument outfit. The DS mechanism provides players with versatility and unmatched playability. It is a redesigned keywork system inspired by professional flutes, aiming for a lighter, more responsive, and ergonomic playing experience.

Who the ETS852 Tenor Saxophone Is For
The Eastman ETS852 is a professional Bb tenor saxophone designed for players who want a big, vintage-influenced sound with fast response and dependable intonation. Its larger bell and specifically placed rolled-style tone holes support a broad, full tonal profile that many players associate with classic vintage tenors, while the modern build and warranty make it a practical choice for daily professional use.
The ETS852 stands out within Eastman’s tenor lineup by pairing its 52nd Street design concept with two included necks for meaningful flexibility: the M neck (Bob Mintzer) is intended for the most open, biggest feel, while the S neck (52nd Street) offers an open, broad tone with a different response profile. Combined with the DS mechanism—an updated keywork concept inspired by professional flutes—the horn is aimed at saxophonists who value ergonomic efficiency, quick articulation, and a lighter, more responsive key action across all registers.
