What’s on My Bench? A 1971 Bach 37
Repair tech Amanda showcases the restoration of a 1971 Bach 37 Trumpet.
What's on My Bench? A Bach Stradivarius 36G
Brass tech TJ shares the restoration of a Bach 36G Stradivarius Trombone. Born in the mid to late 1990s - it's just a shiny young zoomer!
What’s on My Bench? A NY FrankenBach
You’re probably wondering why I call it a FrankenBach - that’s because it has a 50’s NY body paired with a later Elkhart bell.
What’s on My Bench? Custom Bach Brass
Recently we got in a big bunch of custom Bach trumpets and trombones. Here’s a few highlights from the group.
What’s on My Bench? A 1948 Bach 42 Trumpet
Yes, brass fans - you read that correctly - a 42 bell trumpet! You can check out the original specs of the horn on the photo of the shop card, too! This horn is almost all original, with roughly 70% of its lacquer remaining, and has seen very little trauma in its long life.
What's on My Bench? A Trio of Vintage Bachs
What you see here are a ‘62 Mt Vernon, a ‘66 43, and a ‘70 37, and they are all in pretty fantastic shape! The Mt Vernon is the best player of the three, but probably because it has had a valve job at some point and the pistons are still nice and tight.
What's on My Bench? 76 Trombones! (ok, only 22)
Today I’m going through a shipment of 22 trombones. Most of them are Bach 42BO like the one you see here! This particular horn is like brand new aside from a small dent in the knuckle tubing I have repaired. Most of them are near perfect with tiny cosmetic flaws, and a few show light use.
What’s on My Bench? Bach Mt. Vernon Alto Trombone
Here’s a cool little horn I finished up today - a Bach Mt. Vernon Model 6 alto trombone! This alto trombone was a conversion done on a regular Model 6, and the tech did quite a nice job on it. Note the unusual tuning mechanism!
